Charles John Huffman Dickens (1812-1870), also known as "Boz" was foremost English novelist of Victorian era, as well as a vigorous social campaigner. Considered as one of the  English languages greatest writter, he was acclaimed for his rich rich story telling and memorable characters and achiever massive popularity in his life time.
This popularity of his novels and short stories has meant that one has ever gone out of print. Dickens wrote serialised novels, usually format for his fiction at the time, and each new part of his stories was eagerly anticipated by the reading public.
